The OWC involves a theoretical and practical training, and is divided into three main components: 1. Knowledge Development - Study at home and review the theory in the sun with a knowledgeable instructor. Topics include dive theory, equipment usage, safety procedures, and underwater communication. 2. Confined Water Dives - Get in the pool to learn in a controlled, shallow environment about scuba gear, buoyancy control, mask clearing, and emergency procedures. 3. Open Water Dives - Explore the ocean or/and the cenotes during 4 dives during which you will apply the skills that you've learnt and become more confident, dive after dive.
